Terms of Use

How Yank is meant to be used.

By using Yankyou agree to the terms below. We've kept them short and direct because the product is short and direct.

What you can do

Submit URLs to content you have a right to access — podcasts, essays, interviews, videos, articles, books. We extract the five most quotable lines and present them as designed cards. You can share the resulting yank freely.

What you can't do

Editorial discretion

Yankis curated. We reserve the right to refuse a URL, remove a yank, or restrict the service for any reason consistent with these terms. Some sources don't yank well — we may say so and decline.

Quoted material

Yanks are short excerpts of larger works, presented for the purposes of commentary, criticism, and cultural conversation — uses generally protected under fair use / fair dealing principles. Copyright in the underlying source content remains with its original owners. If you believe a yank infringes your rights, contact us at hello@yank.info and we'll review.

No warranty

Yank is provided as-is. Extraction is performed by language models and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or free of error. Verify against the original source before quoting.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" line below. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
